🔥 Mission League Home Opener Sweep! 🔥

The Martinez Heat came out firing in their @themissionleague home opener at Hidden Lakes against the Newark Knights – Noa squad and walked away with a big doubleheader sweep!

Game 1 was a thriller, with the Heat walking it off in the bottom of the 6th inning. The bats were on fire all game long, racking up 16 hits, including the Heat’s first home run of the season! 💣⚾️

The offense stayed red hot in Game 2 as the Heat kept the momentum rolling, securing a 13–2 victory in 5 innings.

The Martinez Heat 12U showed up strong at the 2nd Annual @themissionleague Kick Off Camp at the COPA Fitness Center and Mike Murphy Baseball facilities! 💪⚾️

The day started with agility, speed, and strength training at COPA—pushing the boys outside their comfort zones and building that explosive athletic foundation. From there, they transitioned into baseball drills at Mike Murphy’s, sharpening fundamentals, competing hard, and learning from some outstanding coaches.

With 8 12U teams, 6 11U teams, and over 100 players in attendance, the energy was electric all day long. The boys had an absolute blast—and most importantly, they walked away better ball players than when they arrived.

A huge thank you to all the Mission League coaches from @rivals_baseball_12U, @trivalleytigers, @diablovalleybaseballclub__12u, @pleasant_hill_hawks and @knights_baseball_program who ran the drills and made the day such a success. Special shoutout to our Heat coaches for stepping up and leading key stations—Coach Rich running the Outfield station, and Coaches Brandon and Norman leading the hitting stations.

🔥 HEAT 12U BATTLE TO THE SEMIFINALS! 🔥

This past weekend, the Martinez Heat 12U squad kicked off their first tournament of the season at the USSSA event in Vacaville, CA!

⚾ Pool Play:
Game 1 – The boys went toe-to-toe with Cowtown 12U. Aran was 🔥 on the mound, allowing just 2 runs on 3 hits through 3 innings. The Heat took the lead in the 4th after scoring 4 runs, but a few late defensive miscues allowed Cowtown to rally back. The Heat ultimately fell 7–10 to the eventual tournament champs.

Game 2 – The Heat bounced back strong vs. Benicia Wolfpack 11U! London led the way on the hill, the bats exploded for 11 runs, and the defense locked it down for an 11–1 run-rule win.

💪 Bracket Play:
As the #5 seed, the Heat battled #4 FSB 12U in a defensive thriller. Josiah was clutch on the mound, Leo delivered the go-ahead RBI, and Aran came in for the save—striking out the side in the 6th to seal the 2–1 win!

In the semis, the Heat faced a tough FEBA Lions squad. Leo kept them in it with great pitching, and Rolan made several key defensive plays, but the Lions edged out a 1–0 win.

To top it off, birthday boy Lucas walked it off in the bottom of the sixth, driving in the 8th run and triggering the run-rule to end the game in style.

Next up: the Heat 11U squad hits the road to Fairfield for their first Mission League tournament game against the Rockville Mustangs. The boys are fired up and ready to keep the momentum going.

The Martinez Heat took on a tough Pinole Hercules 50/70 squad today and battled their way to a gritty 9–7 win!

A game-day technicality limited our pitchers to just 20 pitches each, but our deep bullpen stepped up. Seven pitchers over six innings—a true showcase of depth, grit, and teamwork.

After falling behind early, the Heat bats came alive, scoring three clutch runs in each of the final three innings to take control and seal the win.
